thanks guys I won’t.

Yes its a scam.

Whats the name of this shelter, are they encouraging you to neuter/spay them. This site seems more like a news paper ad or craigslist then a shelter, not only are they trying to scam you but their lying to you, any site claiming to sell maltipoos and other mutts is a breeding site for BYBers….

Leave that lone its not worth it…

Go to reputable sites like http://www.petfinder.com or http://www.adoptapet.com

I am not sure. I mean those are really expensive dogs. I guess if they are having trouble selling them they would sell them at that price. They could be not purebred or have some kind of weird genetic problem you don’t know about. You could take them to a vet check before buying which I would recomend.

IMO its a backyard breeder, so you are taking a chance on the health and temperament if you buy them. More then likely, the dogs are CKC registered (puppy mill registry). IMO Yorkies should not be rehomed till 12-14 weeks old as they need more time with mom and siblings to be mentally and physically ready to leave.

If you decide to get one, go see the parents and the papers, etc. Or ask them what association they are registered in, is there any kind of health guarantees, and if the parents have had genetic tests done before they were bred. If the answers are no, then tell them thanks and don’t bother. I’m sure the parents are not health tested (genetically), shown and no health guarantees on these puppies.

    Wow. Wow. Wow.

Do NOT get a dog from this place. Papers & shots mean NOTHING.

Please engage your brain! Seriously, almost every pure yorkie ad on that site is a scam. They obviously are using stock photos of yorkie puppies and if you waste your time responding, you’ll get a long story about why you need to send money before getting or seeing the dog.

You want a yorkie too badly for your own good. No well bred yorkie puppy will ever get sold for under $1000, and in most cases $1500 or more.

Also, nobody said they had papers for shot/deworm. They merely said this was done. It may be true; more likely, it isn’t.

The ad looks and sounds like backyard breeders. I wouldn’t have much hope for the health and genetic soundness of these pups. What a shame.
This is one of those sad "damned if you do and damned if you don’t" situations. On the one hand, if you buy the poor thing, you’re supporting this practice. (And you’d probably be setting yourself up for heartache and high vet bills.) On the other hand, you know that these pups will be bought.
Please look into rescue. They have many pups that need good homes.

    Hi keia:
They could be puppy mill breeders, and just out to make money. So I wouldn’t buy from them. Keia you shouldn’t buy off the inter net either, some of the pictures of the dogs they are selling are taken from a legitimate breeders site. And might not be the dog you think you paid for. What ever breed of dog you are looking for, find a ligament breeder and buy from those people.

Those are puppy mills selling. Notice how they have an assortment? Yeah, those they just grabbed out of the cage and those who haven’t sold yet and are eating up the profits. The dog you get there will be no different than a shelter dog, but the money given will perpetuate the puppy mill operations.

I would stay well clear. Only go to reputable breeders who have good reputation. Animal welfare is of much importance and could be bred in puppy farms then shown to you in good surroundings as a show. Could be stolen. The welfare of a puppy is very important and so is where they come from.

Pay a proper price for proper breeding.

OH, I would run away fast. They are BYBers or a puppy mill.

$100 is cheap, very very cheap for a Yorkie. If you want a quality dog that is not going to be unhealthy you need to find a reputable breeder. The better the quality of the dog the more you pay. Don’t buy a sickly cheap dog, you get what you pay for.

You might want to check out some of the Yorkie Rescues in your area.

I don’t think this is legit, because yorkies are very expensive dogs, and for someone to sell them for only $100 means one of two things (more than likely the 1st):

-they are not pure bred yorkie or there is something wrong with them!
-they just have so much money they don’t need the money and I seriously doubt that.

When I was young 19 I thought I was buying a Purebred rottweiller for $50 and as he grew he had the coloring of a rottweiller, but was shaped like a collie, but as a puppy we could not tell that. I should have known $50 was way too good of a price for a Rottweiller. I did not love him any less when we realized this, but it was still a bad deal. Whatever you choose to do Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!

SCAM! I am from a totally different area and I have seen one of those pictures advertised before. They sent me this email after I had emailed them first asking questions and it was just weird.

A purebred Yorkie for under $100? I don’t think so.

Just sounds fishy and they have multiple ads with different pics. Don’t do it!

But I hope you find a Yorkie puppy:)
